Are presented to your attention Screenshot game I Robot - Atari 2600 (A2600) families of the company Atari, that you could look that a game is I Robot visually. It is possible even to remember some moments from a game in which you perhaps had an opportunity to play in the past.
Perhaps one of the lesser-known arcade games from the Atari, I, Robot was ahead of his time. This is, perhaps, the first arcade game to use 3-D, filled polygons, placing the player in a surreal universe strange landscapes and sounds. You play the role of "an unhappy robot interface # 1984" and have to clear each level of red tiled polygons. Unfortunately, the game is not very like gamers and was a failure in the Arcade.
Atari had expected that the game will be a huge success in the arcades, as a large number of their previous original concepts well. Because of this, the Atari 2600 version of the game is developing in parallel with the arcade. However, as soon as it was obvious that the coin-op will not be a commercial success for the development of Atari 2600 version.
The game was far enough in the development of that work of art boxes and labels have already been created for the game. It also seems that Atari is going to release the game in Europe, as we have the scans for two different styles (presumably NTSC and Pal). We were even lucky enough to get a dump of the prototype cartridge, which you can download here. Do not get your hopes up too much, though, as it seems, there was still much work to be done.
Given the complexity of the game, it is surprising that Atari will even try to play this game on the Atari 2600. But by this time Atari programmers had to pull some impressive feats in the 2600 Games, which only a few years earlier would have thought it impossible to do. Crystal Castles, Gravitar, joust, Centipede, Ms. Pac-Man, and the Gates-are all examples of the previous arcade conversions, which made the transition for 2600 surprisingly well.
To play the game, download the binary image here. You will also need to download a 2600 emulator if you do not already have one. For those of you with the means to play for real in 2600 (through Cuttle basket or other means), the game can use one or two joysticks. If you are using a joystick, you should hold the joystick button to change your opinion (the second arcade game dedicated button for this purpose). If you have a second joystick is connected to the second controller port, moving in any direction on the stick or pressing the button will cause your mind to change.
