Vanguard (Atari 2600 - a2600)

Vanguard 1981 arcade game developed by Tose, and published by snk in Japan in 1981 and later the same year in Germany, the same publisher, while it was licensed to Centuria for production in North America in October 1981 and Venice, Italy in the same year, putting SNK on the map in these regions. The game also received a license to Cinematronicsbyl to convert Cocktail slot machines in North America.

The game is known as one of the first scrolling shooters ever made, allowing scrolling in different directions, as well as notable being the first shoot 'em up where the player can shoot in four different directions.

Your aim is to get to the city The mystery at the end of the tunnel and destroy Gonda. In areas of the tunnel, you have to maneuver around sharp rocks and obstacles, battling strange flying objects. The more objects of the enemy you destroy, the more points you earn. If you do it in a city of secrets and shoot Gonda, you earn bonus points. But watch out! Gonda could shoot you instead. If you are to survive in a mystery, you will continue to play in the tunnel 2. In two-player game, the player with the most points wins.
