Up 'n Down (Atari 2600 - a2600)

Up 'n Down - is a racing video game developed and published by Sega. It was first released in 1983 as an arcade game, and then moved to the Atari 2600 and Atari game consoles and Xe and the Commodore 64 home computer.

Up 'n Down vertical scrolling game that uses a pseudo-3D perspective. In the game, the player controls a purple buggy that resembles a Volkswagen Beetle. Buggy is moved forward along the path of a single band; Pressing up or down on the joystick results in a buggy to speed up or slow down, by pressing the right or left causes the buggy to be reconstructed at the junction, and pressing the "Go" button causes the buggy to jump in the air. Jumping is necessary to avoid the other cars on the road; Player can jump all the way over them, or to land on them for points.

To complete the round, the player must collect 10 colored flags by running over them with the buggy. If a player runs past the flag, not raising it, it reappear later in the round. Road characteristic ups and downs that affect the speed of the buggy, and bridges that need to be overcome. The player loses his turn when the buggy or collides with another vehicle without jumping on it, or jumping out of the way into the grass or water.
