Quadrun (Atari 2600 - a2600)
Quadrun video game published in 1983 by Atari for the Atari 2600 game console.
Quadrun object is to destroy the enemies ( "thieves") and save friendly characters ( "lollipops"), who are trying to escape from the central building of the arena. Character invincible, but only has a limited supply of weapons, energy ball, which destroys enemies on contact.
One of the four club games Atari is only available through mail-order, this title can be available in stores in very limited quantities. This is one of the rare games from Atari, because it was originally made only about 10 000. According to the programmer Steve Woita, play-tested a group of young girls.
It was also the first game for the Atari voice synthesis ( "Quadrun! Quadrun! Quadrun!"), And is one of two games for the Atari 2600, which actually speak (other-Open Sesame, do a bit of AMP).
