Game Kangaroo (Atari 2600 - a2600)

Kangaroo (Atari 2600 - a2600)

In each of the three levels in the Kangaroos for the Atari 2600, your job is to help her mother to save her baby Kangaroo in the top of the screen. As she climbs the stairs, jumping along the branches of trees, and jumping over logs, it must contend with Apple throwing monkeys. Mother kangaroo can either dodge or beat, these monkeys (as it wears boxing gloves), but it should jump or dive under any apples which went to her.

During the rescue operation, Kangaroo mother can pick fruit (such as strawberries and grapes) for extra points. When she rings the bell, fruit regenerates itself, and it can again take it (up to three times).

Kangaroo is also available for the Atari 5200, which is a more powerful system. In this version, the game has four levels (like in the arcade) instead of three. On the Atari 2600 version of the Kangaroo is not the level that has a totem pole-like stack of monkeys.
